UPDATE: This party is RAIN OR SHINE! The awesome folks at the O. Henry are going to let us have it inside! So cool of them.
Hey, so this is really fun: Saturday, March 8th, here in Austin, Texas, from 4PM-6PM, we’re having a book launch party at the Labrary on the lawn of INSIDE the O. Henry Museum, right across from the Convention Center.
You don’t need a SXSW badge to get in. I’m told there will be beer, queso, and copies of Show Your Work! for sale, which I will happily sign.
Really chill, informal hangout. No speeches, no slideshow.
What is the Labrary, you ask? It’s actually really cool:
LABRARY is an experimental pop-up library, landing on the lawn of the O. Henry Museum during SXSW Interactive 2014. The project is a collaboration between the Austin Public Library Friends Foundation and the Library Test Kitchen, a Harvard Library-supported Design Seminar that engages students in designing and building future library machines.
So, yeah, come hang out! This will be the only event I’ll be doing in Austin until I talk at Bookpeople in May.
Here’s the invite to the event on Facebook.
